Start With Develop RAW
Open the image in Luminar’s Edit view and begin with Develop RAW if you are working with a RAW file. Develop RAW gives you controls over Exposure, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, Blacks, and White Balance. RAW files also provide greater flexibility for white-balance adjustments.
For a close-up Moon shot, check the brightest areas first. The Moon can easily become overexposed, which removes the subtle tonal differences that define craters and other surface features. Balance Exposure and Highlights
Use Exposure for general exposure settings, and then adjust the Highlights setting to fine-tune the bright areas of the moon. If the background sky appears too dark, you can use the Shadows adjustment to reveal detail from the dark areas, but do not lift them up harshly.

Correct the Moon’s Color
